Nursing degrees and certificates are popular choices for nursing homes, but a recent survey found that a significant percentage of nursing homes also have nurse badges, too.
In the survey, released today by the New York Association of Community and Technical Colleges, 74% of nursing schools had nurse badges.
Of these, 45% of community and technical schools had at least one nurse badge, and 33% had two or more.
The majority of nursing home nursing degree programs also have a certificate.
Some community and professional schools also have certificates for students, too, such as nursing education programs and certification programs.
The survey also found that almost two-thirds of nursing programs have nurse certificates for graduates.
“I don’t think nursing is the perfect profession, and we have to make a few adjustments to get the best out of the profession,” says Julie Cisneros, president of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the national union representing nursing educators.
“But we have a lot of room to improve.
There’s a lot that we can do.
I know it’s hard.
But we’re going to make it work.”
