Registered nurses are already using cryptocurrency to raise funds for their nursing home services, a trend that could lead to other businesses looking at the same concept.
According to a statement by the BCNRA, the association was formed in 2014 to raise awareness about the health of Registered Nurses and provide a safe and secure way for members to fund their nursing homes.
In a press release, the BCRN said it has raised more than $50,000 through the use of cryptocurrency since the association’s inception.
The BCNRC said the association has also received $5,000 from a member who invested in a cryptocurrency trading account.
According the statement, the associations membership has grown over the years to include nearly 40,000 members across Canada and has a presence in every province in Canada.
The BCRN added that it will continue to use the new technology to provide support for Registered Nurss and their families, which includes providing information and referrals for their care.
“The BCNurses Association is committed to creating a safe environment for all registered nurses, to ensure that the safety and well-being of our patients and the community are our top priorities,” the statement read.
The association has received support from the BC Health Ministry, the Ontario Ministry of Health, the province of British Columbia, the federal government of Canada, and many other governments.
